Eugene was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1996. Eugene was previously a Partner in the Litigation Division of Zaid Ibrahim & Co.

Eugene has experience as a litigator having been involved in numerous trials and appellate cases in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes including disputes in Contract, Banking and Finance, Corporate/Shareholders, Equity and Trusts, Fraud Claims and Tort. Eugene also maintains an active arbitration practice. Eugene has acted for clients in adjudication disputes under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 as well as employers, main contractors and subcontractors in litigation and arbitration.

The Malayan Law Journal invited Eugene to present a paper in a seminar entitled “Managing Breaches of Contract”. Eugene was a case law reporter for the Malayan Law Journal and is the Vice-Chairman of the Gandhi Memorial Trust, a charitable trust.
