In 2002, David commenced his legal career as a pupil at Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co and was retained as a Legal Associate in the Dispute Resolution/Litigation Department. Eager to venture out on his own, David established the firm of Messrs Soosay Dhillon Sharma in 2007. In 2010, David established Messrs David Soosay & Co.  

Finding synergy with the partners of Kandiah Partnership, in 2019, David decided to amalgamate his practice with and joined Kandiah Partnership as a partner focusing mainly in a variety of areas of dispute resolution. The following are some of the areas of dispute resolution handled by David:

Winding-up, Liquidation and post Winding-up;
Strata and Property Management;
Directors and Shareholder’s dispute including Minority Protection;
Commercial Agreements and Contracts;

For a period of over 10 years, David has been actively advising and acts for Joint Management Bodies and Management Corporations of stratified development on matters relating to strata and property management. David also speaks at events and conferences organised by industry players on matter relating to strata and property management. 

David regularly appears in the Malaysian Courts of all levels including appellate courts. He frequently conducts trials, hearings and appeals. 

Apart from appearing in Court, he also drafts and reviews commercial agreements and wills.
